All our Security Officers and Security Dogs are trained or are being trained to the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers standard, (BIPDT), in line with the recommendations laid down by the National Association of Security Dog Users, (NASDU), in accordance withBS8517-1

Why are Guard Dogs an excellent deterrent?

 

A Guard Dog has more than 220 million olfactory receptors in its nose, while our Security Officers have only 5 million. Meaning the Guard Dogs smell people a long time before the Security Officers can smell or see them.

The average range of hearing in a Guard Dog is approximately 40 Hz to 60,000 Hz compared to Security Officers which is approximately12 Hz under ideal laboratory conditions, to 20,000 Hz. However this starts to shrink with the higher frequencies fading first, at around eight years of age, (speaks for itself,Pardon?).

Last and by no means least the Guard Dogs are trained to smile!, (See above). This is normally made up of 42 teeth including six pairs of sharp incisors backed up by two pairs of canine teeth closely followed by premolars and molars supported by an average of 320 pounds per square inch of pressure, (depending on the breed that is).

This is all backed up by a Security Officer who maintains full control of the Guard Dog!
